KEEPING COMMUNITIES SAFE FROM DISASTERS

MISSION: Disaster-Free Communities Network (DIFCON) endeavors to reduce the impact of disastrous effects of climate change and other forms of natural and man-made disasters such as floods, drought, and fires on school children, property, and livelihoods in vulnerable communities. ABOUT US

Founded in 2023, Disaster-Free Communities Network (DIFCON) has generated interest in mitigating the effects of climate change and building resilience thanks to the help of members and volunteers that we continue to enlist from Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya, and Bungoma counties of western Kenya. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in-- including tree planting, maintaining a data base on disaster occurrence and losses due to climate change, Early Warning System, school fires, and responding to all forms of natural and man-made disasters. Please join us in supporting our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
